Nice looking little cafe, friendly staff. But very slow service for just coffee and cake and not cheap. Always happy to pay a good price for quality service but feel £27 for 3 coffees and 3 slices of cake a little excessive when you have to eat your cake with cold coffee. Cake was nice though😋

Popped in for a coffee and snack during the cold weather. The lady who served us was extremely friendly and welcoming. Coffee and food were very nice and we were given a hot water bottle to heat up with, a nice unexpected added touch. Nice atmosphere. Dog friendly. Worth a visit if in the area.

We decided to visit Fig Coffee House as nothing else was open in the village. The staff were friendly and helpful but the place felt cluttered and messy.
We were the only customers in there and we ordered two coffees, beans on toast and a sausage sandwich.
The coffees were great.
As we sat there, I heard the ping of a microwave, and I hoped that it wasn't the sausages being warmed up.
Our food arrived, and the beans on toast looked fantastic. A full tin of beans and two slices of thick buttered toast but my sausage sandwich wasn't great. Two sausages that had been warmed up in the microwave that looked rather lost on the huge pieces of bread. The sausages had been warmed up after being cooked previously and they had cooked for a second time in their own fat and become crunchy they weren't great at all. I'll admit I ate it but I certainly wasn't impressed, and after being charged £19.20 for what we had, I certainly won't be visiting again or recommending the place.
Great coffee, nice staff, cluttered, bad food and over priced.

We had a lovely stop off to shelter from the rain with my young family. Lovely vegan options, I was delighted to see matcha latte on the menu with a choice of milks (I went for coconut milk), one of the best I've had!
Staff were very polite, and all the food & drinks we ordered were made to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options too

Fantastic service and menu. My partner is celiac, amongst other dietary requirements, and was actually able to eat here, so she's very appreciative.
The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us.
Fantastic place for a cosy cuppa.

This place was fantastic! They catered to my allergies with absolutely no problem and could not do enough for us!
The drinks, the food - it was all gorgeous!
I’d highly recommend when visiting the area!

The village was busy, so we managed to get a table. The tables are small with only two tables that can accommodate 4/5 people. All the other tables are for 2/3 people. The service was pleasant and polite. The food was okay, a little bland I thought. The crisps had no flavour. The orders were slightly mixed up. The scone came without cheese & chutney and one of the orders we didn't want crisps but it came with crisps. The cakes looked nice.
If you go to Matlock Bath at the weekend it is full of bikers, so parking will be difficult, they park on the main road. there is a car park, at the top of the high street. Good luck getting a space. A smaller car perk is in the middle of the town, that has 27 spaces, this will also be full unless you are an early bird!

Came for a lunch stop whilst visiting Matlock Bath on a cold day. Lovely hot chocolate, served with a lot of cream. Food was warm, tasty and was filling. Was visiting with 4 other people and everyone enjoyed the food and drink they had. We also had cakes which were great. Nice cafe and a great place to visit if you are visiting the area.

What a great cafe in Matlock Bath 👍 delicious fruit scone with jam and cream with a great tasting mug of coffee, love the idea of a tiny party ring with tiny smarties with every drink you have absolutely fabulous. My daughter and grandaughter tried the warm croissant with jam (pics attached) They have some fabulous looking cakes. Staff very nice and friendly, staff couldnt do enough for you, the lady owner came to the table to ask if everything ok? love it when the owner of any establishment take time to speak to customers 👍 will definately be back when next in the area. We went back in the afternoon for a coffee and grandaughter tried the chocolate cake, she said it was great, Definately recommend you visit if in the area. Thank you 😊
