Generally a good place for large groups for parties or weekends away, but needs some love attention & some money spent on . The location is amazing as there’s everything you need within a short walk. The pictures must of been taken by a professional years ago as the place doesn’t look the same now as you can see from my pictures. We did have a few issues with heating, hot showers , general poor lighting ,curtains , gardens need some love & no toilet on the first floor as per the floor plan .

Absolutely fantastic place to stay for a large group. Beautiful views of the area from the main living room, great fun to be had socialising in your own private bar and separate pub (fully stocked with enough glassware to last for days), extra large dining room, sizeable kitchen, and 15 brilliant bedrooms each with its own ensuite. We enjoyed both hot tubs, stunning walks and excursions in the local area, we really can't recommend this enough - in fact, we're already planning to return in 2024!

Not accessible if you can't manage stairs but, that apart, an excellent location. A short but steep walk up from the town means good views. Good bedrooms with modern showers. Very suitable for a large family get together.

I used to come and stay here for work. Haven't been since COVID, but I think about it so fondly. It was a lovely homely place. My son still remembers the dinosaur shaped pastie he ate in the bar!

After 2 postponed bookings due to Covid, we finally got to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday (20 months later) at The Temple. What an incredible property. What initially appealed was the fact that every room is ensuite meaning we didn't have to think about who'd be sharing bathrooms, especially as we had a mix of family and friends. The facilities are 5 star, the hot tubs were very busy! We were a group of 26 and we could have had 26 more and still have plenty of space. I would have no hesitation in booking again for a large gathering. Thank you Paul and the housekeeping team who work very hard

Now split into two businesses. An excellent bar at ground level with a great range of beers. The main building is being converted into holiday lets as of summer 2018.

Did a booking from their own internet site, but was cancelled because we have a baby due to unavailability of facilities. I think some of you might say, great a hotel without children, but I think they should have mentioned it on the website. So a no go for people with children.

We love this place. The staff look after their guest very well. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean & cozy. The food tastes great and the bar has a wide selection of real ale's. The views from the hotel are stunning with plenty of parking spaces available.
