Lovely little guesthouse, in the peak District. Has parking, large rooms, comfortable beds and probably the best breakfast anywhere. Loved this place and will be the first place we call when we next come back.

Slap bang in middle of parade, near bridge across river. We took a 7 year old and thankfully we were in a room above the breakfast room. The room was huge and fitted 2 adults and a lively 7 year old perfectly. Enough tea, coffee and biscuits and lotions and potions for shower. Didn't feel on top of each other at all. Very quiet at night and not disturbed early morning. Breakfast was great. Prompt and friendly service. Parking on site,we parked up and didn't use car again. Lovely welcoming hosts, relaxed, friendly yet professional. I've not been away in a long time and this weekend break did me the world of good. Plus we could access Netflix but didn't really use it. Just the right atmosphere and lovely decor to feel at home yet felt special. Thank you Ashdale House Nearby activities: Parade shops, chippys, eating , amusements, Gulliver's Kingdom, boating, enough to do and see. Walkability: Middle of parade so easy access to shops, main car park. We walked to Gulliver's Kingdom easy enough and I have bad knees!! We walked everywhere in fact. But no convenience stores nearby so get all you need beforehand. Food & drinks: Breakfast was great. Local produce. The right amount of choice. Service was great.

What a lovely little break we have just had here. Incredibly spacious rooms with comfortable beds, complimentary bottled water, fresh milk for tea and coffee which is of course provided, all in a recently renovated, clean, period property with excellent views of the river and local amenities. The breakfast is on par with the very best we’ve had, and Paula and Shaun are excellent, genuine hosts. When we visit the area again it will be a no brainer to book in here. Thank you both for a lovely short stay - we will be back for a longer stay in the future!

Paula and Shaun are lovely very welcoming ready to help when my mum's car broke down in the driveway. Breakfast amazing food great hosts bedroom great room four with my mother who struggles with mobility. I would love to come back even with friends 🙂 great place central nothing too much for Paula and Shaun knowledgeable about the area and etc etc etc said Ann and Claire . What a beautiful place to stay great location lovely clean room. Paula and shaun are great hosts and not forgetting Ralph the dog for been a very good boy. What a excellent fresh breakfast to set you up for the morning. Definitely would recommend ashdale Lodge to anyone looking for a friendly warm cosy place to stay. Excellent accommodation all round - breakfasts outstanding, rooms very clean and comfortable. Shaun and Paula - great hosts. Will certainly stay again and would recommend to all.

Excellent location for local amenities, very comfortable beds, very spacious rooms with ample viewing of River derwent. Good choice of breakfast from cereal to full English, would definitely recommend this place, thanks shaun and Paula.

Just stayed here for a mini break,what a fabulous place! The hosts were absolutely lovely(nothing was too much trouble) Breakfast was wonderful and the house itself was stunning. Would 100% recommend!

Excellent location Beautiful building. Paula and Sean are so friendly .Just felt like home. Rooms Beautiful and breakfast was amazing lots of choice. Thankyou for making our friends anniversary a special one. Cant wait to return.
